CUSTOMER SAY

  • Ian & Cathy (Torino customers) - We sincerely thank you for providing us with an exceptionally positive experience as we have dealt with you through your people. From our first contact with your company, when we found the vehicle in your showroom that was perfectly suited to our particular travelling needs, we have felt Trakka is a unique business in this competitive field.

And now, after 3 years of working with you, we would like to say how pleased we are with the outstanding effort your team has done in ensuring the warranty servicing on our vehicle has been professionally & courteously conducted.

In particular, we would like to express thanks to David Wallis for ensuring that, at the conclusion of the warranty period, we can say we have absolutely no complaints about our motorhome. Every item that needed adjustment, repair or replacement under the warranty agreement has been dealt with. Be assured, we will have no second thoughts about recommending your company to others as we meet them on our journey.

  • "Retirement loomed and the big question for us was: Will we explore Australia in a 4WD and Camper Trailer or a campervan? Over 3 years we meticulously considered our options at successive Caravan and Camping shows at Rosehill Racecourse by asking LOTS of questions of company reps and seeing countless demonstartions of what their products had to offer.

We were almost taken in by the Camper Trailer idea, but then started to think of the hassles of finding oursleves on narrow bush tracks with nowhere to turn, and our lack of experience at towing anything. Dave Berry of Trakka took the time to show us the features of a VW all wheel drive turbo diesel long wheel base campervan. His practical, experienced, non-pushy and interested approach convinced us that we would also be buying experience and customer service if we went with the new Vee-Dub!

We liked the design features such as the swing around front seats, the hot water and shower option and the secure and modern cupboards and drawers. But especially, we would have the confidence knowing the vehicle engaged all wheel automatically if we started to slip on dirt, sand or stony tracks. The feel that one is driving a car rather than a truck was also attractive. We were prepared to sacrifice the convenience of separation of transport and home for an all in one European design enhanced by a conversion from one of Australia and NZ's most experienced companies of this nature.

Pickup day was marked by Dave speanding nearly three unrushed hours with us making sure that we felt comfortable with all features. Despite our initial fears of 6 manual gears, we soon felt comfortable with this, and we were soon after off for a 4000km 'shakedown' trip to Corner Country in the far north-west of NSW.

We are happy to report that the van performed like a dream, and stayed quite intact despite 1500km of bone-shaking corrugations, sandy dunes, clay pans and gibber roads.... a little more than just getting onto dirt for a few km to gain access to National park camping areas as we originally imagined."
